I just played "Race to the Greatest" with my first graders today. They loved it. I loved it. The only suggestion I would make is that I don't love the font for the numbers. I wish it had a open top four and not the pointed typed top "4"... kids try to make them like that and they end up looking like 9's. Also a question... what 'rule' do you have if they get to 100? I told my class if they couldn't move then it was a miss a turn and they used the same number the next time. Love your blog.
ReplyDeleteGlad they liked it! Honestly, I don't think I've ever had a kid get to 100. We usually start in the middle, so they don't make it that far. I'd go with your idea. Also, thanks for the suggestion on the font! I've emailed you a copy with a different font with the 4 the way you like it. Thanks for visiting us! :)
